Description

Freeze-dried Charleston Bites take a classic, jaw-tiring candy and turn it into a light, crispy, melt-in-your-mouth treat. Historically, candy lovers used a traditional home freezer to freeze and “crack” a Charleston Bite on a counter. Freeze-drying elevates this concept by utilizing true sublimation to expand the inner marshmallow-nougat core into an airy, puffed structure.

Texture and Taste Transformation

Shattering Nougat: The dense, stretchy vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry flavored nougat center completely dries out and puffs up, filling with microscopic air bubbles. It shatters intensely upon your first bite and then quickly dissolves on the tongue.
The Chocolate Coating: Because the thin chocolate shell contains fat, it does not expand like the sugary nougat. Instead, it becomes ultra-brittle, flaking away beautifully as the center explodes beneath it.
